Planting The Learning Seeds With Bec Morse

Planting The Learning Seeds With Bec Morse

Hi, I'm Bec. Co-host of SAFM’s breakfast show Bec, Cosi & Lehmo. I have three daughters Grace, 17, Milla, 11 and Frankie, 9. In my spare time I enjoy walking our dalmatian Henley along the beach and trying to keep fit. I’m a big advocate for reading as part of my role as an Ambassador for the Premier’s Reading Challenge.

1. My favourite picture book for little learners is … 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt. I never get sick of reading it to the girls.

2. Something I’ve learnt on my parenting journey so far… is not to subscribe to mother guilt. As a working parent some things are going to fall through the cracks, you can only do what you can do!

3. My go to nourishing meal that is super easy and the family loves… not sure how nourishing it is but it’s always fun to make pizzas as a family. The kids love kneading the dough and choosing their own toppings.

4. An important learning seed I wish I could plant in every child… a love of reading. It makes me so happy to see my kids off screens with their head in a book. Reading is a great way to boost vocabulary and teach spelling and grammar, all of which I’m obsessive about!

5. I’m the best version of myself… when I’m on holidays at the beach without my phone.

You can find Bec @rebeccamorse107 and also @beccosiandlehmo. You can listen to Bec, Cosi and Lehmo on SAFM every Mon-Fri from 6-9am. Such a great way to start your day!
